What We Offer
Lunch Kit Chef is taking the idea of meal kit delivery to the next level. We focus on making lunch time in schools an interactive, hands-on experience. Students will learn about healthy food options and then create and order a personalized lunch every month and have it delivered by a local grocery chain. We are replacing the idea of hot lunch days with healthy lunch days. Lunch Kit Chef can be used as a primary or supplemental resource that educators can use to teach their students about making nutritious food choices.

RESPONSIBILITY
Lunch kit chef is putting the responsibility of making healthy choices into the hands of students through the use of technology.
HEALTH AND NUTRITION
Through short 5-7 minute videos, students are able to learn the difference between healthy and unhealthy food options and the health benefits certain foods have on their health.
PERFORMANCE
Students explore the positive effects healthy foods have on their level of performance and how the two are interrelated.
LESS FOOD WASTE
Studies show that allowing children to take ownership over their food choices, leads to less food waste. *There is an alarming 1.6 billion tonnes of food wasted on an annual basis (FAO, 2016).
SELF-CONFIDENCE
By creating their own lunch, students will feel a sense of accomplishment which in turn will boost their self-confidence.
THE IMPORTANCE OF MEALTIME
By preparing their own lunches, students will become more thoughtful towards their food choices and quickly learn to appreciate and savour mealtimes.
How it Works
1. Teachers use Lunch Kit Chef as the primary or supplemental resource to teach their class about healthy foods and their nutritional values by completing many interactive mini-lessons and activities online.
2. Once a month, students are able to put their knowledge to the test and order themselves a lunch online, through Lunch Kit Chef's app.
3. A local grocery chain will receive, process and finally deliver lunches to the students who ordered online.
Lunch Kit Chef believes students will develop a sense of urgency for making their own lunches on a more regular basis taking into consideration the nutritional benefits and effects healthy foods have on their performance levels inside and outside of school. Lunch Kit Chef incorporates technology and health into one fun, engaging service that will help take the sedentary and unhealthy stigma out of technology use in the classroom.
